We don’t believe in providing generic ‘pre-packed’ workshops; the best theatre is dynamic, innovative and responsive and that’s reflected in Q light’s ethos.

Every group of students is different and so each workshop is tailored to their needs. We pride ourselves in taking the time to discuss what YOU want the students to gain from the experience and we build a program from there. We have excellent syllabus knowledge covering a wide range of qualifications (GCSE, AS, A-Level, B-TEC) so we can focus on the key skills most pertinent to each course.

At Q Light bespoke doesn’t mean expensive - all our courses offer excellent value for money.

You provide a blacked out room and we'll bring the rest.....

Both half and full day workshops are available, we can even run after school sessions.

Workshops can be based around a text that students are already studying. We invite them to explore the visual possibilities of the piece through light and bring the play to life. Drama teachers often contact us after the workshops to comment on how detailed and imaginative their students’ written & discussion work about lighting has become.

Maybe you have a ‘tech team’ that want to develop their lighting knowledge to enhance the school’s next production. They’ll discover a whole new range of techniques to get the most out of the resources available to them. We’ll also cover essential health and safety to ensure that they use the equipment responsibly as well as creatively.
